It is true, but it is not Biden's sole responsibility if "Despite the fact that the U.S. spent more on nation-building in Afghanistan than it did on the Marshall Plan that rebuilt Western Europe after World War II, it focused primarily on arming Afghanistan to the teeth rather than fostering a sustainable economy.", and instead "manufactured an “extreme dystopian neoliberal society where everything was privatized and everything was tied to foreign aid, and there was no endogenous economy, there was no attempt to develop local industry.” And "when basic infrastructure like roads were built, the U.S. often outsourced the work first to U.S. companies, circumventing the kind of direct transactions with locals that would’ve helped develop the economy sustainably." U.S. policy as a whole needs a fix, but putting all on Biden will just aggravate the divides of American society I think. Unity first !

These points are not Biden's fault, and I didn't say they were -- the point is they accent the scope of Biden's current responsibility.

The real victim was American tax payer, not the talibans, when "basic infrastructure like roads were built, the U.S. often outsourced the work first to U.S. companies, circumventing the kind of direct transactions with locals that would’ve helped develop the economy sustainably."

The problem with Joe Biden s that he is strictly a "Company" man. Take his indifference to Afghanistan's plight in context with the rest of his actions in the International arena. The choice of Blinken as his Secretary of State, and Blinken's actions are symptomatic of a policy of continuing with the status quo (from Iraq, to Syria to Iran and to Russia), which has not changed since basically forever. By holding back Afghanistan's funds Biden is also covertly punishing Pakistan; one stone two birds. The American public may not give a damn but the rest of the World must thank Jim Clyburn for resuscitating Biden. I will go out on a limb with my prognostication: Republicans will win the next elections. Maybe not with Trump as president. Biden is mishandling the Ukraine situation.

Foreign policy is rarely highly salient for voters, with some obvious notable exceptions (e.g. very costly war, 9/11). But it is still incredibly important policy, and yes on foreign policy Biden is more of a status quo player right now than on domestic policy, I'd say.
